How Much Are FreeStyle Libre 2 Sensors Worth?
Libre 2 remains one of the most widely prescribed CGMs in the country, which means there is a steady supply of it and steady demand for it. We buy three separate Libre 2 items, listed above, and each is priced on its own tier according to how much time is left before the expiration date.

Sensor, Plus, and Reader
- Libre 2 Sensor — the standard sensor.

Why Libre 2 Surplus Is Building Up
Libre 2 sits in an awkward spot: still widely prescribed, but steadily being replaced by Libre 3 and the Plus versions. That transition is the single biggest reason people contact us about it.
The pattern is always the same. The prescription changes, but a 90-day supply has already shipped. Or a plan year resets and the formulary moves. Or someone switches to a pump-integrated system entirely. The Libre 2 boxes that were already paid for don't disappear — they sit on a shelf, losing a little value every month.

The Reader Doesn't Expire — Check Your Drawer
Sensors are dated. The reader isn't. It's hardware, so what matters is whether it arrives undamaged, working, and complete with its original box and charging cable.

If you're gathering up sensors, look for readers at the same time. They hold their value indefinitely, so there's no rush on them — but there's also no reason to leave money in a drawer.
