How Much Are Dexcom G6 Sensors Worth?
G6 sensors carry one of the strongest per-box payouts of anything we buy. They come in a 3-pack carton, and the rate is driven almost entirely by how many months are left before the expiration date printed on the box. The current tiers are in the table above.
We buy only the expiration windows shown there, and those windows shift as our inventory moves, so check the table rather than relying on a rate you saw previously. Why G6 Surplus Is Everywhere Right Now
The G6 is being steadily displaced by the G7, and that transition is the single biggest source of unused diabetic supplies in the country at the moment. The pattern repeats constantly: a prescription switches to G7, the pharmacy has already auto-shipped the next 90 days of G6, and those boxes have nowhere to go.
Nobody plans for this. You don't decide to stockpile sensors — the plan year resets, or the endocrinologist moves you to the newer system, or the insurer changes what it covers, and suddenly there's a shelf of sealed cartons that were paid for and will never be used. What Makes a G6 Box Sellable
- Factory sealed. The 3-pack carton must be unopened with the seal intact.
- Excellent condition. No crushed corners, no water staining, no torn labels, nothing written on the box.
- Inside a window we're currently buying. Match the printed date against the table above.
- Not Medicare or Medicaid. Government-funded supplies, usually carrying an orange label, cannot legally be resold. This one is absolute.
- Complete, in the original carton. Loose sensors without the box can't be verified.
If any of that is borderline, photograph the box — front, back, and the date — and send it to us first. A two-minute check beats a rejected shipment.

Do you buy single sensors or only 3-packs?
We buy the sealed 3-pack carton. Individual sensors removed from their box can't be verified or resold.
I switched from G6 to G7 — can I sell what's left?
That's the most common reason people contact us. As long as the boxes are sealed, in date, and weren't funded by Medicare or Medicaid, yes.
My box has a small dent. Is it still sellable?
Send a photo. Minor handling marks are often fine; crushed corners and torn labels usually aren't. We'll tell you before you ship.
Should I wait to see if rates go up?
