Selling Precision supplies

The Precision line is small and unusual, which makes it easy to sort. Everything here revolves around one meter — the Precision Xtra — and the two different strip types it reads. Get those two apart and you have done the work.

The dual-test meter that keeps this line alive

The Precision Xtra is one of very few handheld meters that reads both blood glucose and blood ketones, depending on which strip you insert. That is the reason a system of its age still has an active market. People who need ketone testing — those managing sick-day rules on insulin, and people tracking nutritional ketosis — keep buying into it, so the strips keep moving.

Sort your boxes into two piles

  • Precision Xtra glucose strips, in retail 50 and retail 100 counts. These are the everyday blood sugar strips.
  • Precision Xtra ketone strips, in boxes of 10. Individually foil-wrapped, much smaller box, and the word ketone printed on it.

The 10 count on a ketone box is the full retail count, not a partial box. People regularly assume a ten-strip box is a leftover and discard it. It is a listed product with real value.

Meters have no expiration date

We buy sealed, unused Precision Xtra meters as their own listing. Unlike strips, meters carry no shelf life at all, so age is irrelevant — one that has been in a cupboard for years quotes the same as a recent one. Because meters are handed out cheaply to seed strip sales, households on this system often have an unopened spare they have forgotten about. Check the drawer before you quote.

Expiration on the strips

For both strip types, how much time is left on the box is the single biggest factor in value. We describe our requirements in months of remaining shelf life rather than a fixed calendar date, because the buying windows change from time to time. The listings above are always current — match your box to a listing, read the requirement there, and compare it to the printed date.

Condition

Factory sealed, unopened, no writing on the box, no torn areas where a pharmacy label came off, no water staining, no crushed corners. Ketone boxes in particular cannot be part-sold: the foil wrappers are individually counted, so an opened box is not quotable. Meters need to be sealed in their original packaging.

How selling works

Match each item above, note the counts and the dates, and send us photos so we can confirm everything before anything ships. We cover shipping. Payment goes out within one business day of your shipment arriving and being checked, with Zelle usually landing within minutes. If something in the shipment does not match the quote — a date outside the window, a broken seal, a miscounted box — we tell you what it was and why before finalising.

Why sell your Precision supplies to us

Buying diabetic supplies since 2012, more than 150,000 transactions, A+ with the Better Business Bureau. Precision Xtra is an older system and a niche one, and plenty of buyers have quietly stopped taking it — particularly the low-count ketone boxes. We take all of it. Free shipping and a quote before you send anything.
