How Much Are FreeStyle InsuLinx Test Strips Worth?
InsuLinx strips are a specialist item, and that works in your favour. Fewer people are selling them, and the people who still need them are usually buying out of pocket. We buy three versions, listed above, priced on packaging type, count, and how much time is left before the expiration date.
We purchase only the expiration windows currently shown in those tables. Those windows shift as our stock moves, so check the table against the date printed on your carton.
If Your Meter Was Replaced, the Strips Are Still Worth Money
This is the situation almost every InsuLinx seller is in. The meter went out of service, or was swapped for a newer model, or a plan change moved you to a different brand — and the strips in the cupboard suddenly fit nothing you own.
They aren't worthless. They're just useless to you. Somebody else is still running an InsuLinx meter and paying retail for exactly these boxes. That's the whole reason a buyback market exists for supplies like this.
One practical note: because InsuLinx is a legacy product, the stock still circulating was manufactured earlier, so dates tend to run closer in than on current-generation supplies. If you have boxes sitting in a drawer, check the windows above sooner rather than later.
Retail vs Non-Retail, and Count
- Retail — 100ct and Retail — 50ct: dispensed over a pharmacy counter with full retail labelling. Our higher tiers.
- Non-Retail — 50ct: from mail-order and similar channels, labelled differently, paid on its own tier.
The 100ct and 50ct are separate listings at separate rates, and a 100ct isn't simply worth two 50cts. If you're not sure which packaging you have, photograph the label and send it before shipping.
What We Can't Buy
- Opened or unsealed cartons and vials.
- Medicare or Medicaid supplies. Government-funded product cannot legally be resold.
- Boxes outside the expiration windows currently listed above — worth checking carefully on a legacy product like this one.
- Damaged packaging — crushed, water-stained, torn labels, or written on.
- Loose vials with no carton.

My InsuLinx meter isn't in use any more. Are the strips still worth something?
Yes, provided they're sealed and within the expiration windows we're currently buying. Other people still use the meter and buy these strips.
How do I tell retail from non-retail?
The carton labelling differs between them. Send a photo if you're unsure — it's the most common reason a quote changes.
Is a 100ct box worth two 50ct boxes?
No. Separate listings, separate rates. List them separately when requesting a quote.
Can I sell strips that came through insurance?
Yes, as long as they weren't paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.
How fast do you pay?
Within one business day of your shipment being checked in.
