How Much Are OneTouch Verio Test Strips Worth?

Verio is the newer of the two OneTouch strip lines and it's in steady demand. Five listings are shown above — four strip configurations plus the Verio meter. What you're paid comes down to packaging type, the count, and how many months are left before the expiration date.

We buy only the expiration windows currently shown in those tables. Those windows move as our inventory turns over, so the table is the live answer rather than something fixed.

Verio Is Not Ultra — Check the Carton

This is the first thing to settle, because OneTouch runs both lines simultaneously with closely related branding and they are not interchangeable.

Verio strips work with Verio meters. Ultra strips work with Ultra meters. Sending one when you quoted the other is the most common reason a Verio quote changes after the parcel has already travelled.

Read the exact wording on the box. If the printing is worn or you're not certain, photograph it and send it over before packing anything.

The Counts Come in Pairs

Like Ultra, two of the Verio listings cover a pair of counts, because the boxes have shipped in more than one size:

  • Retail — 100ct
  • Retail — 50ct
  • Retail — 25ct / 30ct
  • Non-Retail — 50ct / 60ct

Read the number printed on your carton rather than estimating. "A small box" covers two different listings here.

Retail vs Non-Retail

Retail cartons are dispensed over a pharmacy counter with full retail labelling and earn the higher rates. Non-retail boxes arrive through mail-order and similar channels, are labelled differently, and sit on their own lower tier. The two look alike at a glance, so check the box itself.

The Verio Meter Is Worth Sending Too

We buy the OneTouch Verio meter as well as the strips, and it's routinely overlooked.

Meters accumulate because they're often supplied free or heavily discounted alongside a strip prescription — the ongoing cost is in the strips, not the device. A household that's been on Verio for a few years frequently has a spare still in its box.

A meter has no expiration date, so it's graded on condition: undamaged, powers on and works, complete with its original box and contents. It isn't losing value while it sits, but it isn't earning anything there either.

What We Can't Buy

  • Opened or unsealed cartons and vials.
  • Medicare or Medicaid supplies. Government-funded product cannot legally be resold.
  • Boxes outside the expiration windows currently listed above.
  • Damaged packaging — crushed, water-stained, torn labels, or written on.
  • Loose vials with no carton.
  • Meters that are damaged, non-functional, or missing original components.

Why Verio Strips Go Unused

A strip prescription assumes a fixed number of tests a day, and actual testing rarely matches. The surplus builds quietly over months at the back of a cupboard.

Then it changes all at once. A move to continuous glucose monitoring cuts fingersticking to almost nothing. A meter is replaced with a different brand and Verio strips fit nothing in the house. A plan year resets and the covered brand switches. Or a family is clearing out after a bereavement.

All of it is sealed, in date and already paid for — and someone else is buying the same boxes at full retail.

How Selling Works

  1. Confirm Verio, then get a quote. Packaging type, exact count, expiration date, quantity, plus any meters. A photo of the carton answers most of it.
  2. Ship free on our prepaid label. No minimum, no maximum. Strips, meters and lancets all go in one box.
  3. Get paid within one business day of check-in, with Zelle often arriving in minutes.

OneTouch Verio FAQs

How much do you pay for OneTouch Verio strips?

It depends on packaging type, exact count and time remaining. The current tiers are all in the tables above.

Is Verio the same as Ultra?

No — different strips for different meters, priced separately. Check the Ultra page if that's what your box says.

My box says 30 count. Which listing applies?

The retail 25/30 listing covers both. The number printed on the carton is what we quote against.

Do you buy the Verio meter?

Yes. No expiration date applies — it's graded on condition, complete with its original box and contents.

Do boxes have to be sealed?

Yes, cartons and vials both.

Can I sell strips that came through insurance?

Yes, unless they were funded by Medicare or Medicaid.

How fast do you pay?

Within one business day of your shipment being checked in.
