How Much Are OneTouch Ultra Test Strips Worth?
OneTouch Ultra is one of the most widely dispensed test strips in the country, which means we buy a lot of them and there's consistent demand. Five listings are shown above — four strip configurations plus the meter itself. The rate depends on packaging type, count, and how many months are left before the expiration date.
We buy only the expiration windows currently listed in those tables, and those windows shift as our stock turns over. Check the table against the date on your box.
Read the Exact Count Off the Box
Two of the Ultra listings cover a pair of counts rather than one number, because the boxes have shipped in more than one size:
- Retail — 100ct
- Retail — 50ct
- Retail — 25ct / 30ct
- Non-Retail — 50ct / 60ct
So "a small box of Ultra" isn't specific enough to quote against. The number printed on your carton is what matters, and estimating is how quotes change after a parcel arrives. Read it, or photograph it and send it to us.
Retail vs Non-Retail
Retail boxes are dispensed over a pharmacy counter with full retail labelling, and they earn our higher rates. Non-retail boxes come through mail-order and similar channels, carry different labelling, and sit on their own lower tier.
At a glance the two look alike. Check the carton rather than going from memory — this distinction accounts for more price surprises than anything else in the category.
Don't Forget the Meter
We also buy the OneTouch Ultra 2 meter, and it's the item people most often leave in a drawer.
Here's why they accumulate: meters are frequently supplied free or nearly free alongside a strip prescription, because the strips are where the ongoing cost sits. So a household that has been on OneTouch for years often has two or three unopened meters it never needed.
Unlike strips, a meter has no expiration date. It's graded on condition instead: undamaged, working, and complete with its original box and contents. That also means there's no rush on it — but no reason to leave it sitting either.
What We Can't Buy
- Opened or unsealed cartons and vials.
- Medicare or Medicaid supplies. Government-funded product — usually orange-labelled — cannot legally be resold.
- Boxes outside the expiration windows we're currently buying.
- Damaged packaging — crushed corners, water staining, torn labels, or writing on the carton.
- Loose vials with no original box.
- Meters that are damaged, non-functional, or missing original components.
Verio Is a Different Strip
OneTouch runs two current strip lines and they are not interchangeable. If your box says Verio rather than Ultra, the rates you want are on that page. Match the exact wording on the carton before you request a quote.
How to Sell Your OneTouch Ultra Strips
- Get a quote. Retail or non-retail, the exact count, the expiration date, quantity — and mention any meters. One photo of the carton covers most of it.
- Ship free. Prepaid label by email, no minimum and no maximum. Strips, meters and lancets all travel in the same box.
- Get paid in one business day. Zelle often lands within minutes of check-in.
We've been buying diabetic supplies since 2012 across more than 150,000 transactions. The number we quote is the number we pay, provided what arrives matches the description.
OneTouch Ultra FAQs
How much do you pay for OneTouch Ultra test strips?
It depends on packaging type, exact count, and time remaining. All the current tiers are in the tables above.
My box says 60 count. Which listing is that?
The non-retail listing covers both 50 and 60. Confirm the labelling is non-retail, and send a photo if you're unsure.
Do you buy the OneTouch Ultra 2 meter?
Yes. Meters have no expiration date, so they're graded on condition — undamaged, working, with the original box and contents.
Is Ultra the same as Verio?
No. Different strips for different meters, priced separately. See the Verio page if that's what you have.
Do the boxes have to be sealed?
Yes. An opened vial or carton can't be resold.
Can I sell strips I got through insurance?
Yes, provided they weren't paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.
How fast do you pay?
Within one business day of your shipment being checked in.
