Selling Contour Next test strips

Contour Next is the current strip line, and it is the one we see most often out of the Contour family. It is also the line with the most unusual box counts on the market, which makes it easy to identify once you know what you are looking at — and easy to mis-quote if you do not.

The counts are the giveaway: 35 and 70

Most test strip brands ship in 50s and 100s. Contour Next also ships in 35 and 70, and almost nothing else on the market does. If you are holding a box of strips with 35 or 70 printed on it, you are almost certainly holding Contour Next.

Those counts are listed separately above because they are separate products with their own demand. Do not round a 35 up to a 50 or a 70 down to a 50 when you quote. Read the printed number and match the listing to it.

Reference numbers on the box

Contour Next boxes carry a reference number, and it is the fastest way to confirm what you have without squinting at packaging design. The 100 count carries reference 7312. The 50 count carries reference 7311. If the number on your box matches, the identification is settled.

Some of our listings ask you to match the printing on the box exactly, not just the count. That is not us being difficult — production runs change, and a box that looks right but prints differently moves through a different channel. When a listing says the writing has to match, photograph your box and let us confirm before you ship.

Retail versus non-retail

Contour Next reaches people two ways. Retail boxes come from a pharmacy counter. Non-retail and mail order boxes come from a benefit manager or supplier and are usually plainer, sometimes marked as not for retail sale. We buy both, and they are quoted separately above because they are not the same product to the next buyer.

The non-retail 50 count in particular is a listing people miss, because they assume a plain box is worth nothing. It is not.

Expiration: read the tier, not a fixed date

How much shelf life is left on the box is the biggest single factor in what it is worth. We do not print a fixed cutoff on this page because the windows we buy in shift from time to time with demand. The listings above are always current — find your count, read the expiration requirement on that listing, and compare it to the date printed on your box.

If your date falls short of every listing shown, we are not buying that box right now. Better to know that before paying to ship it.

Condition

Boxes must be factory sealed and unopened, with no writing on them, no torn surfaces where a pharmacy label was pulled off, no water staining and no crushed corners. An opened box cannot be resold even if the vials inside are untouched, so it is not something we can quote.

How to sell them

Match each box to a listing above, note the count and the date, and send us photos. We confirm the identification and the dates before anything ships, we cover the shipping, and payment goes out within one business day of your box arriving and being checked. Zelle transfers usually land within minutes.

If anything comes in different from the quote — a count that was misread, a date outside the current window, a seal that was broken — we tell you exactly what it was before finalising.

Why sell your Contour Next strips here

We have been buying diabetic supplies since 2012 across more than 150,000 transactions, with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Contour Next is a line we handle constantly, including the awkward 35 and 70 counts that some buyers will not touch because they do not know what to do with them. Free shipping, a quote before you send anything, and no guessing on your side.
