How Much Are Accu-Chek SmartView Test Strips Worth?
SmartView is the quietest of the Accu-Chek strip lines, which is generally good news for anyone selling it: fewer people are offering them, and the people who need them are usually buying at retail. We buy four configurations, listed above, priced on packaging type, count, and how much time is left before the expiration date.
We buy only the expiration windows shown in those tables, and those windows shift as our stock moves. Check the current table against the date on your carton.
First, Confirm It Actually Says SmartView
Accu-Chek runs four strip lines with closely related branding, and this is the one people most often assume they don't have — or assume they do.
- SmartView — this page.
- Aviva Plus — the highest-volume line.
- Guide — the newer line, with variable box counts.
- Compact Plus — the drum-based system with unusual counts.
They are not interchangeable and they are priced separately here. Read the exact wording on the carton before you request a quote, and if it says something other than SmartView, follow the link to the right page. Sending the wrong line is the most common reason a quote changes after a parcel has already travelled.
Retail vs Non-Retail, and Count
- Retail — 100ct, Retail — 50ct and Retail — 25ct: dispensed over a pharmacy counter with full retail labelling. Our higher tiers.
- Non-Retail — 50ct: through mail-order and similar channels, labelled differently, on its own lower tier.
Each count is a separate listing, and the rates don't scale proportionally — a 100ct isn't two 50cts. If you have a mixture, list each type separately so the quote holds.
What We Can't Buy
- Opened or unsealed cartons and vials.
- Medicare or Medicaid supplies. Government-funded product cannot legally be resold.
- Boxes outside the expiration windows currently listed above.
- Damaged packaging — crushed, water-stained, torn labels, or written on.
- Loose vials with no carton.
Why SmartView Strips Sit Unused
The usual arc: a prescription covers more testing than actually happens, boxes build up, and then something changes all at once. A move to a CGM. A meter replaced with a different brand. A formulary switch at the start of a plan year. Supplies left behind after a death in the family.
With a lower-volume line like SmartView there's an extra wrinkle worth knowing. Because fewer people are selling them, sellers often assume there's no market and throw them out. There is a market — someone is still running the meter and paying full price for exactly these boxes.

Is a 100ct worth two 50cts?
No. Separate listings, separate rates.
Can I sell strips that came through insurance?
Yes, provided they weren't funded by Medicare or Medicaid.
