How Much Are Omnipod DASH Pods Worth?
DASH pods remain in steady demand, and we buy them in three pack sizes. What you're paid comes down to which box you have and how many months are left before the expiration date. The current tiers for all three are in the tables above.
We buy only the expiration windows listed there, and those windows shift as our stock moves. Check the table against the date printed on your carton before you ship.
Three Pack Sizes, Three Separate Rates
- DASH Pods — 10ct — the largest box.
- DASH Pods — 5ct — the standard five-pod carton.
- DASH Pods — 1ct (Single) — an individual pod.
These are priced independently, and the maths doesn't run in a straight line — a 10ct is not simply two 5cts, and five singles are not a 5ct. If you have a mix, list each size separately when you request a quote so the number is right first time.
DASH Is the Generation People Are Leaving
DASH sits in the middle of the Omnipod story: newer than the original pods, older than Omnipod 5. That's exactly why so much of it ends up unused.
The move up to Omnipod 5 is the most common reason people contact us about DASH. The prescription changes, but a 90-day supply has already shipped — and because pods are replaced every few days, 90 days is a substantial stack of boxes, not a couple of cartons.
Others leave pods entirely for a tubed pump or go back to injections. Some pause during a hospital stay while auto-ship keeps running. However it happens, the result is the same: a large quantity of sealed, in-date pods with nowhere to go.
Worth knowing: dated stock loses a little value every month, and it eventually falls outside the windows we can buy at all. If your DASH boxes have been sitting since you switched, they're worth more today than they will be next quarter.
What We Can't Buy
- Opened or unsealed boxes. Cartons must be factory sealed and in excellent condition.
- Medicare or Medicaid supplies. Government-funded product — usually carrying an orange label — cannot legally be resold. No exceptions.
- Dates outside the windows we're currently buying.
- Damaged cartons — crushed corners, water staining, torn labels, or writing on the box.
- Loose pods with no original packaging.
How Selling Works
- Get a quote. Pack size, expiration date, and how many boxes of each. A photo of the carton covers most of it.
- Ship free. Prepaid label by email, no minimum and no maximum. Pods are light, so a big pile still travels as one parcel.

How much do you pay for DASH pods?
It depends on pack size and time remaining. All three tiers are in the tables above, which are always the current figures — rates and accepted windows both change from time to time.
Is a 10ct box worth two 5ct boxes?
No. Each pack size is a separate listing with its own rate. List them separately when asking for a quote.
I upgraded to Omnipod 5. Can I sell my DASH pods?
Yes, and it's the most common reason people come to us with DASH. Provided the boxes are sealed, within the current windows, and weren't funded by Medicare or Medicaid.
Do the boxes have to be sealed?
Yes. An opened carton can't be resold, so it has no value to us.
I have a very large number of boxes. Is that a problem?
Not at all — there's no maximum order, and pod boxes are light enough that even a large quantity ships in one go.
How long before they lose value?
Every month moves a dated box toward a lower tier and eventually outside the windows we buy at all. The table above shows where yours currently sits.
