How to Pack and Ship Diabetic Supplies Safely with USPS

Quick answer

Pack every eligible item in one sturdy corrugated box. Cushion the bottom, sides, top, and every empty space. Put the completed payment form inside, tape every outside opening with mailing tape, and bring the sealed package to a USPS counter for an acceptance scan and receipt.

Choose your prepaid USPS label

After you complete the quote form, choose the label option that works best for you. Standard labels use USPS Ground Advantage or First-Class Mail, depending on the shipment.

Print an emailed label

We email the prepaid label after the form is completed. Print it, attach it securely to the outside of a sturdy box, and cover every edge with clear mailing tape.

Use an emailed QR code

Bring the sealed package and emailed QR code to a USPS counter. The postal clerk prints and attaches the shipping label.

Request a label by mail

If you prefer a paper label, we can mail one to you. The 14-day price lock still begins on the calendar day the quote form is submitted.

Priority Mail by request

A Priority Mail label is available by separate request. A $10 postage charge is deducted from your payment.

Use packaging that matches your label

Do not use USPS Priority Mail-branded packaging unless you separately requested a Priority Mail label. For Ground Advantage or First-Class shipments, use a sturdy plain corrugated box.

Gather these packing supplies

  • One sturdy corrugated box. Lightweight, worn, or crushed Amazon boxes may not provide enough protection.
  • Protective cushioning. Use bubble wrap, packing paper, air pillows, or a combination.
  • Mailing tape. Seal every outside flap, seam, or opening that could come apart.
  • Your payment form. Complete the form sent with the label and place it inside the box with your supplies.

How to pack diabetic supplies for shipping

  1. Confirm eligibility and get your quote

Check every product against the current listings, minimum expiration dates, seals, and condition requirements. Only send products currently listed on the website.

  2. Choose your label option

Select an emailed printable label, an emailed QR code, or a paper label sent through the mail.

  3. Cushion the bottom of the box

Line the bottom of a sturdy box with bubble wrap, packing paper, or air pillows before adding the product boxes.

  4. Place every item in the same box

We provide one label per standard shipment. Use the same careful packing method for test strips, CGM supplies, receivers, transmitters, Omnipods, meters, lancets, and pen needles.

  5. Fill every gap and protect the top

Add cushioning around the sides, between products, and across the top. Gently check that the contents cannot move.

  6. Add the payment form and seal the box

Place the completed payment form inside. Close the box and tape every outside seam, flap, or opening that could open.

  7. Get a USPS scan and receipt

Bring the package to a USPS counter, ask for an acceptance scan, and keep the receipt. The scan starts the tracking history.

Pack it right and avoid preventable damage

Pack it right

  • Use one sturdy, rigid corrugated box.
  • Cushion the bottom, sides, top, and empty spaces.
  • Make sure the contents cannot move.
  • Include the completed payment form.
  • Tape every opening with mailing tape.
  • Leave pharmacy labels attached and unchanged.
  • Get a USPS acceptance scan and receipt.

Avoid this

  • Do not use an envelope or padded mailer.
  • Do not use a weak, crushed, or flexible box.
  • Do not leave open space around the products.
  • Do not split a standard shipment into multiple boxes.
  • Do not peel, cover, cross out, or write on pharmacy labels.
  • Do not use Priority Mail packaging with a non-Priority label.
  • Do not leave without a USPS acceptance receipt.

Try the gentle movement check

Before taping the final seam, close the flaps and gently move the box. If you can feel or hear the product boxes shifting, add more cushioning.

Mail the package and follow the tracking updates

We recommend handing the package to a USPS employee so it receives an acceptance scan. Keep the receipt until the shipment has been delivered and processed.

  1. USPS scanned: The carrier accepted the package.
  2. In transit: Your package is moving through USPS.
  3. Delivered: It has reached Test Strips 4 Money.

Your tracking number appears in your Test Strips 4 Money account and in the email sent with the label. We also email tracking updates when the package is scanned, while it is in transit, and when it is delivered. Tracking notifications are not currently sent by text message.

Wholesale or unusually large shipment?

Email adam@teststrips4money.com before packing. We may be able to adjust the shipping arrangements and provide additional labels.

Your quoted price is locked for 14 calendar days

The 14-day period begins on the calendar day you submit the quote form. If the listed price goes up or down during that period, your quoted price remains locked. Your quote is still an estimate until we receive and inspect the shipment. Final payment depends on the products, quantities, expiration dates, packaging, and condition matching the information submitted.

Common packing and shipping questions

Can I send diabetic supplies in a padded envelope?

No. Always use a sturdy corrugated box with cushioning around every side.

Can I reuse an Amazon box?

Only if it is still rigid and strong enough to protect the contents. Many Amazon boxes are lightweight or worn and may not be sufficient.

Can I divide one shipment between several boxes?

Standard shipments must fit into one box because we provide one label. Contact us before packing a wholesale or unusually large shipment.

How does the emailed USPS QR code work?

Bring the sealed package and emailed QR code to a USPS counter. The clerk prints and attaches the shipping label.

Can I remove or cover my pharmacy labels?

No. Leave them attached and unchanged. We remove and cross-cut shred them to protect your privacy.

Can I request Priority Mail?

Yes. Request it separately. A $10 charge is deducted from your payment.

Does this process apply in Puerto Rico?

Yes. The same packing and shipping guidance applies throughout all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Important: Customers are responsible for choosing a sturdy box and using enough cushioning to protect the contents during USPS shipping. Quotes remain estimates until shipments are received and inspected.
